What counts. Fight time is elapsed time from the opening bell, derived from the round the bout ended in, the clock at that moment and how long each round of that format was booked for — so an open-format bout from the 1990s is measured by its real length rather than as though every round were five minutes. Nine bouts on the record carry a clock that cannot be right (a decision recorded as ending before the bell of the round it was scored in). A career total is a sum, so one wrong clock stays wrong: those bouts are left out of the total and out of the fight count beside it. One name on the record is shared by two different fighters our source roster cannot tell apart, so any career total under it would be two people’s added together. It is left out of every page in this family entirely — the same reason that fighter’s own page is withheld — rather than published as a total that is nobody’s. A bout carries a weight class; a career does not. On a division page each fighter is filed under the division they were in for most of the bouts THIS record counts — where the wins were actually won, not where they finished up — with a tie going to their most recent bout. Fighters whose counted bouts carry no weight class on the record (catchweight, open weight, the 1990s tournaments) appear only on the all-divisions page. Where two fighters share a total they are listed by the earlier start to their record and then alphabetically — they did not reach the same number in any order, so a tie-break claiming precedence would be an assertion the record does not contain.
